Chapter One: Turn of a Friendly Card…

A quick word about this comic…

Galactic Gun started as a a series of personal “fan fiction” that I wrote and drew with another childhood friend based around a much beloved console game released in 1986. It has become so very much more since, and reflects nothing directly to its source. You could say it’s grown, changed, and evolved with life – mine, and its own – since.

Much the same for the pages and styles you’ll see here, the book you’re about to read has persevered through personal upheavals like depression, loss, heartbreak, and even a global pandemic. In that time much has changed that has either rendered or influenced its world. Don’t be too surprised to see changes throughout the pages; it grows as I did, and it weathered so much as I did to bring it to you.

Think of it as a the record of an artist in transition through his beloved medium; one that has seen so many twists and turns through the years, itself. I hope you enjoy the story and its art, as well as its journey to become something I hope will both entertain and inspire.

And here we go…
